Update

So only 24 days left!!!

In a way I can't wait to leave! This place is exhausting and camp season is getting a bit repetitive. However, I will miss this place more than I can even imagine! It's home to me and it's a scary thought that I might never be back here again...

But there is so many other things I want to do so if I spend another summer here that's a summer I can use to do something new instead if something I've already done...

 It'll be exciting to visit everyone when I get home! Liverpool is top of the list to visit Siobhan and Jay. And there's talk of a trip to Amsterdam in December which has to happen!!!

Travel plans

Ok so once again I feel as though I have somewhat neglected my blog ( very busy and all that).

As of today I only have one month left here at getaway! I mean what?!?! It was May last week I'm sure. This summer has flown by without me even realizing and it's beginning to hit me that it will all soon be over. My life has changed so much but when I go home everything will be exactly the same as I left it. Not sure how I will deal with that...

Anyway, the girls and I have started to plan our travels. The route we are going to take is pretty exciting! We leave camp at the end of august and fly down to Florida for 6 nights. From there we fly Miami to Vegas baby! Hire a car and drive to San Fran, LA, San Diego. Road trip the west coast basically! Siobhan, Faye, Becca, Danielle, Ellie,Jay and I living it up on the west coast will be amazing

Overdue update

Been super busy the last few weeks and totally forgot to update!! We have since had another adult weekend which was a young professionals weekend. I was dancing in the show and this time it was a cowboy themed - slutty cowgirl outfits everywhere! There was also a drunken late night campfire after which was so fun. Never got to bed until after 4am therefore never got out of bed until 3pm the following day. However, made the most of my next day off on Saturday by going to Kent falls for the day which is a beautiful place.
School season is now finishing up this week and camp season is beginning. It will be a nice change for everyone as school season is so hectic and rushed. I'm looking forward to getting to know the kids better instead of rushing them through a few activities then sending them home again.
Still loving life here at getaway. It really is one of the best places to live and work :)

Bowling

On Saturday Faye and I were off for the day. We got bikes from the bike shed and and cycled into Kent which is beautiful. We found a thrift shop and went in for a look. I got an iPod docking station for $1!! Buzzing... Also went into the book shop which was pretty awesome. We then cycled along the river then finally made our way back to camp. Connecticut is a really beautiful state. On Monday night we had our post memorial day bowling trip which was a lot of fun. I lost...standard..and everyone found out the famous nickname.. RHINO. Great fun all round :)

First adult weekend

This weekend was memorial day weekend and the first adult weekend of the season at getaway. Basically, adult weekends are awesome! We go from being all about the kids during the week to being a party central at the weekend.  It was also my first weekend lifeguarding which was also awesome.  Lifeguarding in a bikini,  jumping in the lake, going trips on the boat... living the life. I was also dancing in a show on Saturday night to open the dance.  The theme was heaven and hell and I was dress as a (very slutty) angel. It was such a good night cant wait for the next show! I was off on Sunday as well which made the night even better knowing I could sunbathe by the lake all day.. and that's exactly what I did. So the adults left on Monday and it was back to groups of kids on Tuesday.  There's such a contrast but thats what makes working here so exciting.  I love it so much its feels like home. And its been 4 weeks already!! Going far too fast
